The Blue Ridge Bungalow is cozy and comfortable. It is well-maintained, clean, and functional. And, if there is any problem, the property manager seems to be available 24/7.

Hey guys! second trip to the cove and hopefully it won't be the last. We love the place. It is truly a place of beauty and peace. Just for you to note, it needed a good cleaning. Nothing big, but the surfaces were all very dusty. I looked for something to clean with, but there was nothing I could find like pledge. The floor needed some attention as well. It was nothing dirty, just dust and a few bugs; almost like it had been cleaned a while ago, then sat empty for a bit. Everything IMPORTANT was very clean like bedding, towels, bathrooms, and kitchen. Also, there are outlets and lights in the kitchen that don't work on the sink side. These are minor things, but as hosts I trust you would want to know :) See you next time!

The apartment is perfect for 2 people. Everything is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The kitchenette is compact yet has what you need if you wish to cook and take in the beautiful view. We will stay again.

We have stayed here quite a few times and cannot say enough good things about it. We love the location, the home is very nice and is stocked with everything you need. Perfect place for us while we are in town visiting family!

We loved our stay at Inn a Nutshell! It was spotless and perfect for two of us! Claire and Cam were communicative and friendly - they even left chocolate treats for us!

We rented this home for my son’s wedding. The groomsmen and dates stayed here. The house was large enough for them to all be comfortable and close enough to Hickory for the wedding. The game room was a big hit. Had it been warmer and they had more time, they would have taken advantage of the lakefront. The hosts were so attentive to make sure our stay was comfortable and stress free. Highly recommend this home and Flying Squirrel!

Such a little gem of a place to find! Out from the bustle but conveniently close to Rock Barn and Hickory. Quiet, restful, clean and pleasant.

We fully enjoyed our stay at Sitting Bear cottage. It was super clean and perfectly outfitted for us to enjoy the fall leaves with family. Wonderful location surrounded by nature and close proximity to wonderful trails, sights and food.
Looking forward to many future stays at this and other Flying Squirrel Cottages!

The bungalow is well equipped and comfortable. Candi is an excellent property manager. She responded very quickly and efficiently to every request or problem (which were few). Going forward, the bungalow needs a new router, as recommended by Spectrum. Also, the mattress topper on the master bedroom bed is so deep that the sheets do not fit it properly and always slide around, and it is actually difficult to turn over or move around on the bed, because your body sinks into the topper so deeply. If a change in the mattress topper is contemplated, I would strongly recommend a more "normal" depth. Otherwise, all is good. Many thanks, Karen Brown

Really nothing special. Furniture in back was thrown all around. Nothing was set up. Dirty ashtrays sitting on tables in back and front of home. Ants in bathroom. It wasn’t as pleasant as we thought it would be. Some of the towels looked dirty etc. very surprising.

This is our second time booking with Flying Squirrel and just like the last time we are very satisfied. Locations have been ideal, the properties and always clean. Host is always reaching out to make sure our stay is going good as well. For these reasons would be happy to book with them again.
